IN OUR COMMUNITY

Below is a list of some of the ways we seek to show God's love to others in our community:

The Blessing Box seeks to serve those individuals who are homeless and in need of immediate care and do not have ongoing support resources. We seek to do this by supplying ready to eat and use items that can be used without much preparation. 

Suggested donations include:

Spam Vienna sausages tuna / chicken small packs of cookies / crackers protein bars
small indivdual cereal packages Ramen noodle cups EZ open canned meals Lunchables (non-refrigerated) mac-n-cheese cups
small hand sanitizer gum cough drops    

 

The Lord's Cupboard serves area families in need that cannot make ends meet. We seek to do this by assisting through donations of basic groceries, personal hygiene items and household cleaning supplies.

Suggested donations include: 

soup canned vegetables diced tomatoes pork and beans
canned pasta and meat canned fruit tuna fish Spam
beef stew peanut butter jelly boxed pasta
spaghetti sauce rice cereal (no larger than 14-15 oz.) apple juice
powdered milk bar soap dish detergent shampoo
toothpaste/toothbrushes toilet tissue    

 

Our West Rehoboth Ministry efforts seek to serve the under-privileged children of the community around LCOS. We seek to do this through our support of the West Rehoboth Youth Program with food donations that help feed the children. We also support the social and educational programs through donations of individual items as requested and through ongoing financial support. 

Suggested donations include:

fruit cups pudding packs small treats (i.e. gummy bears) canned soups
canned pasta and meat canned tuna canned beans small bottles of water
small cans of juice paper towels toilet paper sanitizer wipes

 

English as a Second Language
Classes meet on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and evenings from September through May. Beginner, intermediate, and advanced level students are accommodated at all classes. Childcare is provided for all classes. Volunteers are always needed to help serve as mentors. Click here to learn more about this program.

New Life Thrift Shop
Many members volunteer their time and talents at the New Life Thrift Shop located behind Jiffy Lube on Rt. 1 in Lewes. The proceeds from the thrift store are utilized by the Lewes-Rehoboth Association of Churches to assist individuals and organizations in the Lewes-Rehoboth community. Facility Usage
Our buildings are in use by several community groups, including: AA, Delmarva Decorative Artists, Blood Bank of Delmarva, Rehoboth Summer Children's Theatre, and various homeowners associations.
