"Here is the Church, here is the steeple, open the doors and see all
the people" was a finger rhyme when we were children. What it underscores is
that before the church is a building and/or programs, it is people. It is
people who are remarkably different in age, sex, appearance, economic and
social status. It is people who are remarkably the same in searching for
meaning, purpose, hope, and affirmation in life. As people in this church, we gather around the good news of God's love for us in Christ. Each Sunday, we gather to celebrate that, through Christ, we have a place forever in God's heart. Each Sunday, we gather to learn more about what that good news means for our daily life. Each Sunday, we gather to encourage each other in faith. Each Sunday, we have determined to be servants of Christ in the world. We are excited about all that the gospel says that we are and eagerly look for ways of responding in thanksgiving. Come join us in journeying together with the promise of God's love. You will find a welcome place, and open mind, and honest friendship, and a true loving spirit.
