What is ESL? ESL is English as a Second Language. ESL is for people who need to speak, write and read English. All classes are for students at all levels; from beginner to advanced. Our students come from all over the world; from Asia and Europe as well as Central and South America. |
How will ESL help me? You will be able to better communicate with people on your job, at your children’s school, with doctors, with social services and be more of a part of your community. ESL prepares you to take GED (General Education Development) classes and obtain the GED diploma. ESL prepares you to enroll in College to take advanced ESL classes and obtain an ESL Certificate. |
When are ESL
classes? ESL classes are held Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 PM to 8 PM and Saturday mornings from 9:30 AM to Noon from September through May. Students can select whichever class best fits with their schedule. Classes for the 2007-2008 academic year begin the week of September 11, 2007. |
How much does the
class cost? The class is free, but there is a one-time $30 registration fee, payable at registration. |
How do I register? We will have pre-registration here at the church on Tuesday, September 4th and Thursday, September 6th from 6 to 8 PM, and on Saturday, September 8th from 9:30 AM to Noon. (Click here for directions) New students are welcome throughout the year. |
