In the World
Serving in the World
As part of a global community, we seek to reach out
with time, talent and treasure to the world at large:
-Relief efforts for Natural Disasters
We respond to global relief efforts through Lutheran World Relief and other Christian aid organizations. Click here to go to LWR's website for more information or to help.
-Thank the Troops
Greeting cards and care packages are sent to soldiers at Easter and Christmas, and ongoing prayer and correspondence is conducted throughout the year.
-Appalachian Servant Event

Each July, youth and adult volunteers from the congregation travel to Asheville, NC to refurbish homes, install septic systems, and assist those in the Appalachian community. Click here for more information on the Servant Event.

-Team Lutheran Polar Bear Plunge
Youth and adults participate in the Lewes Polar Bear Plunge, held on the first weekend in February, to raise money for Delaware Special Olympics.
-Collecting goods for special projects
Clothing drives, assembling health kits, school kits, midwife kits, donating socks to the homeless, filling Christmas stockings for the Salvation Army, and many other projects are some of the ways we seek to make God's love real to those in need.
