Serving In Our Community

Some of the ways we seek to show God's love to others in our community:

-English as a Second Language

Classes meet on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and evenings from September through May.  Beginner, intermediate, and advanced level students are accomodated at all classes.  Childcare is provided for all classes.  Volunteers are always needed to help serve as mentors.

-The "Sandwich Brigade"

Every Thursday a team of 5-6 people make and deliver sandwiches to the Midway Soup Kitchen.

Volunteers are responsible for the clean-up of Old Landing Road in Rehoboth Beach.

-The Lord's Cupboard

Provides food boxes and gasoline vouchers for emergency needs.

-International Student Outreach Program

On Thursday evenings from Memorial Day through Labor Day, our congregation provides dinner for summer student workers.

-New Life Thrift Shop

Many members volunteer their time and talents at the New Life Thrift Shop located behind Jiffy Lube on Rt. 1 in Lewes.  The proceeds from the Thrift Store are utilized by the Lewes-Rehoboth Association of Churches to assist individuals and organizations in the Lewes-Rehoboth community.

-Facility Usage

Our buildings are in use by several community groups, including:  AA, Delmarva Decorative Artists, Delaware Bloodmobile, Girl Scouts, and homeowners associations.

-Blessing of the Animals/files/Images/bless animals2.jpg

Each year in October, we offer a Blessing of the Animals service to the community.  All types of pets are welcome; we've blessed everything from dogs and cats to hermit crabs!
